In fact, Africa is immensely globally recognised as one of the major pioneers of good music. Looking at the great works from Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and other wonderful countries in Africa, the best is yet to come. The artistes cut across all the genres of music with professional, mind-blowing delivery. Today we want to recognise of Africa’s finest reggae, dancehall musicians, Patoranking!
Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, popularly known as Patoranking is one of Nigeria’s vibe lord. From his first hit, Alubarika and Girlie O, to his recent smashing single, Available, his hasn’t let us down one bit. he is one of those few African reggae artistes that are true to the genre and keep doing great year in year out. Patoranking started out with his low-key collaborations with Nigerian acts like X-Project, Reggie Rockstone, Konga, e.t.c before he got signed to K-Solo’s record label, Igberaga Records and the joined Timaya’s Dem Mama Records releasing the single, Alubarika.
He signed a deal with Foston Music in early 2014 and came out with Girlie O, the big hit which brought him to limelight. Later in 2015, he signed a distribution deal with VP Records. He’s also notable for featuring as one of the judges of the singing competition, The Voice Nigeria, alongside other artistes. Pato is well known for his other singles such as, Murda ft Seyi Shay, Daniella Whyne, which topped the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 Chart, My Woman, My Everything which also graced the same chart, reaching no. 2. He has also had made good music with other artistes, locally, in Nigeria and also outside Nigeria with other African notable artistes.
We must say he has done so well for himself given all the achievements he has acquired over the years he’s spent in the Nigerian music industry. His talent is unique, is style is exquisite, delivery superb! Africa rocks!
