Ace Nigerian stand up comedian Kenny Blaq shares some very personal details about himself.
According to him, his greatest regret is losing his mother just when his career began to take shape.
My mom didn’t get to see me perform before she died.
I wish my mom was alive to see me this big and I was able to do a lot of things I wanted to do for her right now.
Now that I can afford to do all those things, she’s not here.
So that’s one of my greatest regret.
About Fear and Motivation
I think God is my greatest motivation.
My environment is my motivation.
When people say I can’t do it, it motivates me to do it.
I like challenges, challenges makes me stronger.
My greatest fear right now I think is the greatest fear of any celebrity,
which is to settle down with the right person.
There are so many people we are not hearing from anymore because of situations like this.
Settling down with the right person, the person who understands your craft.
Who understands that you have to be 100 percent into what you’re doing and at the same time, have time for your family.
Settling down with that person that will say I want you to be there 24/7 is crazy you know.
So the fear is settling down with the right person, making the right choices.
He also talked about his humble beginning and the hard lessons he learnt from the industry.
The hardest lesson i have learnt in life is that you can make it on your own
You don’t actually need anybody to carry you along.
You can learn from them from a distance.
You find out that by the time you start learning on your own, start doing your own thing,
those people will come to you.
I remember growing up in the industry, trying to meet this people and there was no attention,
So I decided to make it on my own, hustle on my own, be who I want to be and now everybody is my friend.
