Hollywood City Council casts an unanimous vote in favor of removing Trump’s star.
Mayor John Duran reveals that “The West Hollywood City Council did not pass the resolution because Donald Trump is a conservative or a Republican.
“Earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is an honor.
When one belittles and attacks minorities, immigrants, Muslims, people with disabilities or women — the honor no longer exists.”
The West Hollywood mayor even took to Twitter to compare Trump to Harry Potter’s mortal nemesis, Lord Voldemort, hash-tagging the announcement with “horcrux destroyed.”
However, the motion passed to The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who have final say over iconic tourist spot.
“Once we receive a communication from the City of West Hollywood, it will be referred to our Executive Committee for consideration at their next meeting.
As of now, there are no plans to remove any stars from the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” President Leron Gubler explained.
He does, however, make it feel like an unlikely conclusion. “The West Hollywood City Council does not have jurisdiction over the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Meanwhile, through out history, no star ever removed from the Walk Of Fame.
That does not include half-measured removal attempts via pickaxe, a LA drunken prospector.
