A popular book cover tells ‘the beautiful ones are not yet born’ and the ugly ones seem not to be talked about because they are a myth. How come did we create one, I don’t know if this is amazing or hilarious but I ask myself why do women wear makeup? There is popular saying that makeup artistes won’t make heaven and if any did, it can’t be real.

I checked up the art of makeup and realised that makeup is likely as old as the first woman because the purpose is to enhance the NATURAL beauty. It won’t give you beauty, it will only complement what is there. Archaeological evidence of cosmetics certainly dates from ancient Egypt and Greece which dates back to about 6000 years.
Thus, it may be rational to say women wear makeup because it gives them confidence. The first thing a man notices about a woman is her face and I doubt if women don’t wear makeup because of the man. With this on, they can step up to anyone and to avoid misconception, I believe and know a woman can be confident without makeup which can serve as a booster to her beauty and self-confidence.
Sometimes, women wear makeup to cover something up but is it worth covering or it is just some form of deception considered as normal. The brightening of a dull face, the camouflage of blemishes, highly visible spots, scars and what she wish she never had which I don’t have a thing against.
However, my pain is there are girls whom we will never get to see their real face. Their face people see is a lie and a quantum of deception. A fashion police slap who do justice and fairness to erase the blur and unravel the real. Make-ups today are quite scary and in all fairness, I must say many a man don’t really like makeups but will tolerate amicably a light measure, having an idea of what the face is like naturally. Some makeup could choke one to death if the layers should evaporating in the air and pass through one’s nostril.
It hurts to know that makeup is another addiction in our society, today. This extra layer of the skin is rampant as a result of the media and fuzz around hot women. This so-called foundation is one hell of a blur. Women need to know that even in imperfection, we can find perfection. Make-ups can be very ridiculous and is one hell of a power of illusion that weakens sexual anticipation and kills romantic adventure.
Aside excessive makeup, skin bleaching is another cankerworm in the fashion industry and beauty world. This I don’t think is curable suppressing the production of melanin. I don’t really know any justifiable advocacy for skin bleaching. Only coloured people can skin bleach which exposes the issue of complexion and race on a social front. Americanization is becoming global and highly dominated by white people. And every Tim, Dick and Harry want to be fit into the Hollywood image.
How dare you have the audacity to expect him to treat your colour washed skin, fake nails, and extended eyelashes, totally covered up face with false accents like it is part of you? It is been all blurry from the start and the viola! The revelation precipitates exit.
Unfortunately, this blur doesn’t pertain to the woman in the 21st century, some men have delved into this realm where they shouldn’t be. Don’t get me wrong I am not against makeup but there are extremists who are making this act highly distasteful. Skin bleaching has no form of tolerance in my world. This has become a kind of addiction that must be addressed . They say, ‘the mind fears the blind side but isn’t it time we get on the blind side?’
